The second attempt by Groupe Radio Antenne 6 to flip CFGT 1270 in Alma, Quebec to 97.7 with 50,000 watts was approved today. The original application was rejected in Fall 2008 due to the common ownership policy and fears that the new signal would overlap with that of sister station CHRL 99.5 in Roberval. This time Antenne 6 proposed a slight reduction in power for CHRL and requested an exemption from the common ownership policy. Those revised proposals were both met with CRTC approval.
