Laura Ingraham radio show to end; goes to Podcast One

It's hardly a surprise Ingraham would want to consolidate her schedule given the 9am start time of her radio program, and 11pm end time of her Fox News show.

I have no idea who will have the inside lane to replace her show on terrestrial radio. Presumably Glenn Beck's will get picked up in any market where he's not already cleared. Will Chris Plante cash in by picking up a lot of Ingraham affilites?

I never thought I would say it, but I'll miss her. Sometimes when I get in the car to go to lunch I turn to her instead of the oldies station, that way I'll be on Rush's station when the time comes. It would be easy enough to listen to Rush at home since the clock radio is already on his station but I almost never do.

The station was acting really weird yesterday. The audio sounded like when I am watching digital TV when I am getting serious interference. it wasn't just Laura. Rush had the problem too so I turned to the big station.

SNL really made Laura look bizarre this past weekend.

BTW, I guess WDRC didn't get the memo. They're running promos that say, "We listened, Connecticut, she's back! Laura Ingraham now mornings 9 to noon."

Wonder if there will be reruns of the show when it decides to end.

I assume the podcast will be both shorter than the 3 hour radio show, and provided later in the day.
Otherwise, what is she saving by making the move?

Reruns would make no sense. When you're in February 2019, what good is it to re-air a show from October 2018 where she'll be talking about Kavanaugh and the 2018 mid-terms?

PodcastOne distributes her podcast, and they also syndicated the radio show. (Courtside Entertainment and PodcastOne are co-owned) If airing the podcast was possible, I'm sure stations would be informed.

Of course the podcast probably doesn't run 3 hours, and likely doesn't fit the commercial break schedule the local station has.

Bingo! In fact the news cycle is so short these days that a podcast from yesterday makes almost no sense.

I find it hard to believe she cares about mistreatment of animals. Paul Harvey, though, cared about the environment so I guess conservatives can believe in some of the causes liberals do.
