Laverne or Shirley-who's was/is your TV "hottie"?

Which one was the hottie? Shirley back then, Laverne if the show were on now.
Lots of other shows like 3's company, Cagney and Lacey, Lone Ranger etc.
C'mon-let's weigh in-the dog days of August are here....

It wasn't Laverne or Shirley

I would refrain from using the word "hottie", however I always thought that Elizabeth Montgomery and Lynda Carter were strikingly beautiful women.

I've read where Ms. Carter was somewhat offended by what she perceived as "men's thoughts" when she wore the Wonder Woman costume. If she was that offended wearing the outfit, then why did she take the job in the first place? Apparently Ms. Carter didn't mind taking her top off in her first feature movie before landing the Wonder Woman role.

It should also be noted that women swooned over Christopher Reeve because of his looks when he donned the tight-fitting Superman outfit.

If you consider either Laverne or Shirley to be a "hottie" then or now, I'm thinking you may have had a vision problem for a very long time. ;D

Since somebody brought up "Cagney," I'll vote for her - Sharon Gless, who I always thought was a very pretty woman from the first time I saw her - pre- Cagney & Lacey...I think it was Switch with Eddie Albert and Robert Wagner in the mid 70s.

Gless currently has a small part in Burn Notice as the hero's mother, and she's still very nice looking, especially considering she's 67. Her character is supposed to be kind of flaky, so they have her chain-smoke cigarettes for the part. Ugh.

As far as "Three's Company", I never thought that Suzanne Sommers was that hot looking compared to women on other shows. I thought that Joyce DeWitt was cute but I never thought either her, Suzanne Sommers, Jennilee Harrison or Piscilla Barnes were "HOTTIES". Of course, I always prefered Kate Jackson on "Charlie's Angels".

no offense to either of these ladies....but I'm with "None of the Above".

One of our local stations ran American Graffiti over the weekend. Even a very young
Cindy Williams in high-def did nothing to float my boat.

Cindy Williams was better looking than Penny Marshall, but "hottie"?
Iiiiii dunno about that...
...I thought Penny Marshall was more attractive on The Odd Couple than she ever was in '50s garb...

Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman was an epic smokin' hottie for this young teenage boy (at the time). Even today, she looks damn good for her age and I'd talk to her about it if I had the chance!! ;D

Re: hottie: no neither one was a hottie-but Laverne exuded sexuality. Shirley was cute and perky.
I was just rrying to get a discussion going..

...I also always thought Cindy's sister Carol-Ann Williams (Vikki the Cheerleader in More American Graffiti, Jane in The Hollywood Knights) was way hotter than Cindy ever was...

Every time I think of "You Can't Do That On Television" I think of Christine McGlade. But I also liked Dana Plato from "Differ'rent Strokes" before her tragic downfall, Barbara Feldon from "Get Smart," and Judy Carne and Goldie Hawn from "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In."

As for the '90s, I'll go with Ricki Lake.

Good old "Moose". She is still working in the "business", I believe at CBC or CTV. I loved YCDTOTV, myself.

Now, as for a favorite of mine..... hands down it would have to be Jan Smithers ("Bailey Quarters") on WKRP in Cincinnati. She looked liked the "girl next door". Loni Anderson had nothing on her.

Cynthia Pepper - who played "Margie Clayton" in the 1961-62 ABC-TV Network show, Margie. She was also "Jean Pearson" the girl next door in the first season of My Three Sons (1960-61).

Hot 80's sitcom moms - Family Ties, Growing Pains, It's Your Move, Wonder Years, Mr. Belvedere, Small Wonder, Just the 10 of Us, Full House, ALF, Ma Ingalls from Little House

Donna Douglas
Nancy Sinatra
Annette Funicello
Goldie Hawn in body paint on Laugh-In
Dawn Wells
Susan Dey
Tatum O'Neal
Brooke Shields
Kristy Mc Nichol
the girls on Petticoat Junction
and any of the girls who were Wally's friends on Leave it to Beaver.
