Lead Actors Who Had More Than One TV Series to their credit

William Shatner has one of the best records, but remember that the original Star Trek only ran 2 seasons with mediocre ratings, and he had quite a few years before his next hit series, though guest shots and the growing Trekkie cult kept him quite comfortable, I'm sure.

William Shatner was also T.J. Hooker and on Boston Legal.

Efrem Zimbalist Jr. on 77 Sunset Strip and The F.B.I. He also appeared on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Has anyone mentioned Jane Curtain? She was on "Saturday Night Live," "Kate and Allie" and "Third Rock From The Sun."

...and also a 2008 series called Crumbs, in which she played Suzanne Crumb. It ran only 13 episodes.

I didn't see Buddy Ebsen on here yet?
Beverly Hillbillies.
Barnaby Jones.

Or Jack Klugman.
The Odd Couple
Quincy ME

Add "Northwest Passage" (NBC, 1958) to Buddy Ebsen's resume; I don't include "Davy
Crockett" because that wasn't intended as a regular series.

Jack Klugman starred in two other sitcoms: "Harris Against The World" and "You Again?"

Tom Bosley-Happy Days, Father Dowling Mysteries
Don Knotts-Andy Griffith, Three's Company
Don Knotts also had a variety series that aired on NBC during the 1970/71 season.

Tom Bosley was also the voice for the lead character on "Wait Til Your Father Gets Home".

Jim Nabors had Gomer Pyle, USMC, The Jim Nabors Variety Show following Gomer Pyle and the syndicated Jim Nabors Talk Show in the late '70's, simular to what Mike Douglas, Dinah Shore, Merv Griffin and others were doing around that same time.

John Davidson (The Girl with Something Extra, The John Davidson Show, The Hollywood Squares)

...and add The Girl with Something Extra, ER, The Court and Brothers & Sisters to Sally Field's listing...

On the subject of Sally Field, you could add "Brothers & Sisters" assuming it meets the criteria here.

Walter Brennan- The Real McCoys. The Tycoon. The Guns of Will Sonnett.

Bob Crane - The Donna Reed Show. Hogan's Heroes. The Bob Crane Show.

Michael Chicklis - The Commish. The Shield. No Ordinary Family

Richard Boone- Have Gun Will Travel. Medic. The Richard Boone Show

Larry Hagman had two other shows: "The Good Life," on which
he co-starred with Donna Mills (herself with at least two, "Knots
Landing" being the other) as a couple who decide to chuck the
rat race and become butler and housekeeper for a wealthy tycoon
played by David Wayne; this show died a quick death on NBC in
1971. The competition on CBS: "Funny Face" with Sandy Duncan,
which prematurely ended when she had to undergo eye surgery;
the character she played, Sandy Stockton, resurfaced the following
year on "The Sandy Duncan Show" (different format, no better ratings).

Hagman also played attorney Ed Gibson on "The Edge Of Night" from
1961 to 1963.

Don Adams played on "The Good Life"'s lead-in, "The Partners". Except
that he was a cop instead of a spy it was Maxwell Smart all over again.
Competition? "All In The Family". He was also the voice of Inspector Gadget.

And has anyone mentioned Robert Vaughn? Besides "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."
his credits include "The Lieutenant" (a 1963 show that got massacred by Jackie
Gleason), "The A-Team," something on Fox called "Danger Theater," "Emerald Point
N.A.S.," "The Magnificent Seven: The Series," "The Protectors" (filmed in England,
syndicated in the U.S.). And his "U.N.C.L.E." cohort, David McCallum, is currently
on "NCIS".
