Since this is my last night in the area I figured I'd actually switch on the television set (mid-70s 19" "portable" Trinitron [well, it does have a handle on top] with composite input; fairly unusual feature for its time) and see what's available.

Aerial: very old rooftop log-yagi pointed approximately NE, toward Fargo

Scanning the analogue section of the TV set itself reveals faint sync bars on 50 (possibly K50DB in Alexandria, Minn., assuming it's even still broadcasting) but nothing elsewhere on the dials. The signal on 50 disappears entirely if the automatic frequency control is shut off.
