Also killing Free-FM is really unwarranted, considering that O&A are pulling up the stations where they are. Also left out - the reason why WNEW was doing poorly before Sex for Sam was BECAUSE THERE WAS NO MORNING SHOW.
Howard didn't want to be a team player, and nobody screwed with Uncle Mel in the late 90's, so you had a revolving door of shows that couldn't compete.
WYSP was doing quite well with Howard mornings, O&A afternoons, and rock at night.
These hack comedy letters really annoy the hell out of me, because Ken Lay destroyed the financial futures of a lot of people. If you work in radio, well, at least you're a willing participant in destroying your financial future.

The difference between Lay and Hollander is that Hollander's company has never been HEALTHY enough to offer pensions.
Hollander manages cost, because he hasn't a clue how to manage product. See you at the CBS fire sale... because that's where this is heading!

You're absolutely right. How someone could trash the stations, then have to sell them for scrap could still be at the Helm is absolutely dumbfounding.
