Leykis Ponies Up $50K For Arrest Of Dodger Fan Suspect

that's pretty ironic considering he was fired from WRKO Boston after using his then wife as a yule log after the company Christmas party.

He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge misdemeanor assault, down from the felony of domestic battery.

Even more ironic that he can put up more reward than the entire Dodgers organization.

Leykis beating his wife aside, the Dodgers organization has handled this incident all wrong.
In every way.

Cool of Leykis to offer up the reward money. It'd also be cool if he finally started paying the people that work for him on his "New Normal Music" tax write-off...err...internet radio project.

Leykis May Rescind Dodgers Reward Money Due To "Disdain" From LAPD

Update: It appears that the LAPD is not formally accepting Leykis' generous donation. He was informed this week that the police department "couldn't acknowledge rewards from public individuals". Leykis suspects that it may be related to the nature of his radio show, which hasn't been on the air "in two years." And he makes an argument that apparently, his money is no good, yet the backruptcy-bound McCourts' cash is. "What makes you think Frank McCourt can cough up $25,000"?

Indeed, Leykis not only matched the Dodgers' original reward offer, but he doubled it. Yet it's still likely not enough for the LAPD, so much so that Leykis may rescind his $50,000 contribution today. "I want to make it clear: I don't want to rescind it. I don't need the publicity... I thought I was doing the right thing, but now I'm being treated with what sounds like disdain."
