License to cover filed for W261BT in Tuscaloosa

This station on 96.1 is supposed to be rebroadcasting WTXT-HD2. Only problem is, I have no idea what programming (if any) they're carrying. Can anyone in the area check? WTXT only installed HD recently, so it was probably planned to launch a format here on this translator from the get-go.

Also of possible interest is a translator (W221DB I believe) with a CP to be fed by WTXT-HD3.

Too far up the road for me to hear. I hang out in Meridian.

24/7 Christmas music now on 96.1... Normally is Light Rock Mix

A friend in the know just shared this with me.

I think your friend is confusing 96.9 with 96.1. 96.9 myFM has been doing Christmas for several weeks along with all the other AC iHeart Radio stations. I heard from someone in the area who said 96.1 is actually still relaying WJRD at this time.

96.1 is now reported to be carrying the Singing Radio News southern gospel programming. Not sure if that's a show they provide to gospel stations, or if it's the name of the entire feed all day long. SRN does not list a Tuscaloosa affiliate on their website.
