Light and Easy 93.1FM There is nobody in there and it's driving me nuts.

I recieved some great feedback and a few wonderful history of South Florida Radio lessons when I asked the question IS THERE ANYBODY IN THERE about Lite and Easy 93.1FM. There is nobody in there and I guess it's my ego, but it is driving me nuts. Even the old BM stations had tags, time+temp.
I have made the station sort of hobby. I have read every reply to my post and to the "It's Official....." post. So it seems that intelligent people are listening. But what exactly are we listening to.

Lite and Easy is sort of Neo-Beautiful Music.MUSICRADIO.COM reminded me of those reels spinning soooooo slow. I was in junior high school and i spent my weekends reading the weather at a BMer on eastern long island....I Had Arrived....

I believe the fact that 93.1 does ok reflects the state of South Florida radio. Mornings are not the best here radio wise. The " Morning Comedy" is not that funny, and everything else is kind of dull.

93.1 has indeed played some intresting music. I have heard some segues that sort of shocked me, of course, the list I made is nowhere to be found.


Now I want to ask the big question, am I the only person who would love a chance to host mornings on 93.1? I do believe that
a friendly voice would work well with the audience that exists already, and wiuld build up the numbers as time goes by. aAs I mentioned, perhaps its just my ego.

Personality radio was fun in the 60's. However today jocks have more creative and have discussions about sexual topics to keep their audience and ratings up. (What turns your wife on? How many woman have you had that had orgasims?) I am sorry but I don't need to listen to these topics especially in a medical office. It is offensive to me and my family. So being able to listen to a station without the clutter of talk works for ME. Many work places will NOT allow chatty stations to be played. So I love a station that can just play music and leave the talk to AM. Time and temperature no longer important as we all have temps/clocks in our car or on our phones.
Most stations have done away with telling time and giving temperatures 10 years ago.

My impression is that they aren't going back to the 60's as much lately,
and actually played a song from '02 this morning: Norah Jones' Don't Know Why.
 
Cox uses as few jocks as possible. WDUV in Tampa has the same format with one jock in AM drive.
