HOWARD 100 NEWS' (SIRIUS) LISA G did a wonderful feature this week on TOP 40 radio. G interviewed SIRIUS' HUMAN NUMAN (ex Z-100 jock) & RICHARD CHRISTY (HOWARD STERN SHOW). Christy grew up in Kansas listening to jocks with "deep voices"....Who has better ratings for MSNBC? DON IMUS (now on 770 WABC-AM) or JOE SCARBOROUGH?...NY POST's PHIL MUSHNICK returns! Sunday (in the TV section) the Post stated Phil was on a 2 week vacation. See his column in today's Post...I agree with WFAN's MIKE FRANCESA that the FAN has to bring in younger talant, but it would be nice to see a broadcaster who worked 20 years in a smaller maket get a chance at the FAN. Memo to WFAN PD ERIC SPITZ: I would love to hear JOHN GRANEY on WFAN. You can hear John on 590AM WROW (ALBANY) SUNDAYS 6PM-10PM or at www.wrow.com ....RADIO PET PEEVES: Radio stations that make you enter info to hear the radio station on the Web. I like the sites that you just have to hit "LISTEN HERE" and the audio comes up ASAP...RADIO TRIVIA: What NYC radio station discovered BON JOVI?.....Answer is....103.5 WAPP "THE APPLE"...It's a shame MAGIC MATT ALAN (ex Z-100 jock) is NOT on the NYC radio dial. You can still hear Alan on SIRIUS' TOTALLY '70s 6AM EASTERN. Love the opening production for his show...TONY RUSSO (Chris' dad) is "priceless" on 660 WFAN's MIKE & THE MAD DOG show. He is one funny dude. A mix between Chris & the late PHIL RIZZUTO (NY YANKEES fame).
