Lisa Marie Presley, Daughter of Elvis and Priscilla, Dead at 54

I just saw this. We just passed Elvis' 88th birthday a few days ago on Jan 8. That had always been a big day at Graceland.

Oof and initially there were reports of her at an LA area Hospital until this happened.

This needs to me merged because I had initial reports at the time it said she was taken to an ICU when that happened. Had no idea she left in the way she did. Here is another one an op-ed Lisa Marie Presley about her sons death is trending again as soon as there were reports that she left.

Editor's note: Nearly five months before her death on Jan. 12 at 54, Lisa Marie Presley shared exclusively with PEOPLE an essay she wrote about navigating grief following the heartbreaking death of her son Benjamin Keough in 2020. This essay was first published on Aug. 30, 2022.

Lisa Marie Presley is opening up about life after the loss of her late son Benjamin Keough.

In honor of "National Grief Awareness Day" on Tuesday, the singer, 54, penned an emotional essay about the low points she's faced in the time since Keough's death by suicide in 2020 at age 27. She also gets real about keeping strong for her three daughters (Presley shares Benjamin and daughter Riley with ex-husband Danny Keough, and she has 13-year-old twin daughters Finley Aaron Love and Harper Vivienne Anne with Michael Lockwood, from whom her divorce was finalized last May)
.

Woke up to that shocking news today. She’s now with not only her dad and son, but also ex-husband Michael Jackson again

Here is Lisa Marie Presley on her final appearance at the Golden Globes celebrating the cast members of Elvis winning an award.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, was last seen in public at the Golden Globes award ceremony Tuesday, just days before she died. She died on Jan. 12 at age 54.

During NBC’s 80th Golden Globes Tuesday night at The Beverly Hilton, Presley was sitting at a table and seen applauding actor Austin Butler, who won an award for Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for his performance depicting her father in the 2022 musical drama "Elvis."

Butler used his acceptance speech to thank Lisa Marie Presley and her mother Priscilla, who were sitting together with his sister, Ashley.

And here is Lisa Marie over the years. This is going back all the way to her birth when she was put in the spotlight.

Didn't I just see her at the Golden Globes?
Yes Lisa Marie Presley was there to celebrate the cast of Elvis as they won the Golden Globes awards. One of the people on the Elvis cast Austin Butler was the one that took the Golden Globe Awards for the crew.

Has anyone been listening to SiriusXM's Elvis channel during all this? Right now, it's running a rerun of the show Lisa Marie hosted on the channel, but I wonder if it did any live coverage earlier as the story was unfolding.

I haven't listened to the Elvis channel, but Pat St. John was right on the story of Lisa Marie being taken to the hospital on 60s Gold. Today he mentioned that there was special programming on the Elvis channel.

Here's another location called "Elvis Presley Birthplace" out of Tupelo, MS their front page issued an Obit statement on Lisa Marie Presley.

But I had no idea that's Elvis Childhood home is tourist attraction like Graceland is known for. But in one News article there were black ribbons at Elvis Childhood home to respond to Lisa Marie Presley's death. The majority the response we have seen has been in Los Angeles and Memphis where the mourners are located.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Black ribbons are on display at the Elvis Presley Birthplace as a sign of mourning for the passing Lisa Marie Presley.

The 54-year-old singer died Thursday night at a California hospital following an apparent heart attack.

Earlier this week, visitors at the historic Tupelo landmark were celebrating Elvis Presley’s birthday. Now, they will be greeted with tributes to the only child of the 'King of Rock 'n' Roll.'

Not really shocking to hear that Lisa Marie Presley had to fight her demons going all the way back to childhood when Elvis Died and it's crazy to find out that she's been hit the same way like Elvis and her late son faced.

Those who knew Lisa Marie paint a picture of a woman trapped by her birthright — and the demons of addiction — despite multiple bids to fight the burden of both.

It all started, apparently, with her father’s death — also from a heart condition — at age 42 in 1977. Lisa Marie, then just 9 years old, was at Graceland at the time and reportedly saw her father’s lifeless body.

Karen de la Carriere, a former top-ranking Scientologist who was tasked with counseling Lisa Marie shortly after Elvis’s death, said that Lisa Marie later “drowned herself in drugs for years” due to the sustained trauma of his passing.

There are stories out there that the Presleys were hit by a Genetic Defect. Note this is currently under investigation as of 2023.

The death of Elvis Presley's daughter by cardiac arrest at 54 may have bolstered recent research suggesting genetic defects in his family could be responsible for a slew of their early deaths.

Lisa Marie Presley, who suffered fatal cardiac arrest on Thursday, was far from the first member of Elvis's family to die from heart troubles. The King himself died from cardiac arrest when he was just 42 years old, and his mother Gladys died from heart failure at 46. Gladys had three brothers, each of whom also died in their forties from heart failure or lung complications.

In the recently published biography, Elvis: Destined to Die Young, author Sally Hoedel argued the deaths of Elvis, his mother, and his uncles were likely caused by a genetic defect brought on by the marriage of Elvis's maternal grandparents, who were first cousins.
