Listen to Big Wilson on WIOD 610 and get the Christmas Spirit !

Vividly recall Big Wilson in AM Drive on WNBC New York during the 1960s. That was WNBC with Jim Lowe middays, Woodman & Rich in PM Drive and Wayne Howell evenings. Bill Mazer did sports. Long John Nebel did talk overnights.

Big Wilson was still sounding good on WIOD in 1978. I'm sure he did well among NY transplants then. :)

Amazing to think of a regular Sports show back then, I would listen to him with my Mom, I remember her listening to Big Wilson and Long John Nebel, Later on she listened to Rambling with Gambling on WOR 710

John A Gambling (hope I got the initial right) still holds court in AM drive on WOR today. I'd say that's a dynasty! John A returned to WOR in 2008 after a long stint at WABC. :)
 
John R. Gambling is the current morning host on WOR-AM. He's been in that position from 1991-2000 & 2008-present. He co-hosted with his father (John A.) from 1985-1991. He was on WABC from 2000-2008.

John A. hosted from 1959-1991; his father John B. hosted from 1925-1959.
