Not "all of them." But yes, the morning show is syndicated. However, they get paid a lot of money, and some of it comes from WROQ.First off, we know it ain't going towards Air Talent because you fired all of them.
Leave it on, and sitting on the arm of your recliner, with the TV on, the radio in the kitchen on a station that you hate, and open a window to the utility room, where another radio is on some Awww-ful Rap station, and then go to work, leaving it at home to dance with the devil of both confusion & error.
Arbitron, now Nielsen Radio, once mailed tangible diaries out, with a less than a 40% return.
As to how flawed those returns were is speculation. This bizzy-ness that we are now living, Pees on the idea of keeping a paper log. The PPM gadget was introduced to avoid an eventual Floundering by a company that wants to stay in business.
It,..."The Gadget", both receives and records signals of what you are Allegedly listening to or watching. So, much like Auditorium Music Tests, it too is flawed from the beginning.

5-to-6 minute Stop-Sets are clearly there, due to Whoring-out the rate card, and having to sell more, just to pay the bills.
5-to-6 minute Stop-Sets deliver the end result of (Hopefully) a 5-share. Bill Love claims that the PPM data views these long Stop-Sets as a way to not loose listeners. Comparing your then ratings(Magic 98) to what you can only squeeze today is proof enough.
LOVE IN THE MORNING is clearly the Best Morning Radio Show in this market; my Vote! Also, if you listen, and/or monitor....you will find all four hours of that said show to not slate 5-to-6 minute Stop-Sets, yet ones slating around 3-minutes, as I had said, in the beginning!
I see one salary that could easily be dropped. Not "all of them." But yes, the morning show is syndicated. However, they get paid a lot of money, and some of it comes from WROQ.
I don't know about you, but my expenses have doubled in the last ten or so years. Utilities, office rent, insurance, business expenses, engineering costs, new technologies, licensing fees, health care. There's a lot more to running a radio station than the air talent. The cost of doing business has increased. Meanwhile, it looks like revenues have been relatively flat. Although you seem to feel the spot price has risen, and the number of spots has gone up. Those two things don't bear out in the facts.
9-minutes max, per hour, and if you ain't making any money, your rates are too low, and your Overhead/Spending needs to go under a microscope!
Well,...quite a bit of Typage, since I last viewed.
We are aware of the motion sensor, and the Gadget is probably rigged with some sorta tracking circuitry, in case the "Panelist" loooooooses the damn thing!
There can be nothing said about the PPM Gadget to decrease its margin of error.
Nielsen will "Tell It" to "Sell It", but it is there because the Diaries were continuing to Waffle.
No Thinking PD would fall for a Horse Manure Snow Job, that alleges longer Stop-Sets are better than short ones!

i think scooter wins. he has played us for fools to read our posts so he'll be educated as to where radio is in 2015
Going local with one or more is maybe outta the budget, but should it be outta the question. What is next when something has clearly failed?
