Alaska Live Remote 2 Day Music Festival ON Radio In Bush Alaska

Our tiny little NPR member station in rural Alaska holds a 2 day music festival that is a fundraiser for the radio station and we broadcast it live on the radio uninterrupted all weekend straight off the sound guys console. No hosts in studio or on site, just the bands and PA Announcements from the park.

We no longer have line of site at our new but not yet used studio where we'll be when this happens, so I went the IP route this year.

A satellite retailer in Anchorage loaned us a Starlink set up and Engineer Todd Clark in Kalispell, Montana loaned us a brand new Comrex Briclink to use as well. We'll stream from the park using SL up to Streamguys at 256K AAC plus. (I wanted pretty high bandwith and AAC to get the best, least compressed audio I could get)
