Local sports talk hour on WVII 7, Bangor

Good luck to them, will definitely check it out...It would be interesting to see if Stacy's Country Jamboree makes a comeback. But with the Bangor Channels no longer available in the Canadian Maritimes, half the audience would be gone.. Back in 70s/early 80s the 3 Bangor commercial channels were carried on just about all the NB and NS systems. Not so anymore.
And BTW,the old Stable Inn, on Wilson Street (Route 1A) in Brewer where they used to do the Jamboree was recently torn down!

Well, I'm gonna be nit picky with you rjoc. While the Stable Inn has been torn down, Stacey's Motel was a different enterprise. It was torn down a long time ago. So long that I can't remember on which site it was. It was either where Rite Aid or the Cigarette Shopper now stands. Dang memory.

I've caught The Night Show in Portland on WPME and it's surprisingly good for a small market. It's a welcome break from SNL, starting at midnight here. It will be interesting to see how it does in Bangor going up against the first half hour of SNL.

I read the story on the sports show and it doesn't mention a Portland affiliate - any idea if we'll get to see it in southern Maine?

You are right... I think it was torn down back in early 90s. My memory is startng to fade a bit...but I still remember those "Gassy Hands" commercials for Stacey's though!!
