local station announcers for kids line-up in the 80s

I was wondering, how many stations had radio personalities anouncing for their kid sline-up. In Chicago for instance back in the 80s Maggie Brock who was with AM 1000 did announcing for their kids cartoon line-up and Dr. Don Rose before then announced the kids line-up for WFLD and the other Field stations. Also, is it usually a station emplyee anouncing such as a general manager for the regular line-up during the evening and afternoon.

...in Dr. Don Rose's case, he'd cut the liners at the Kaiser/Field station in San Francisco, KBHK/44, for the entire chain. I believe WFLD also used Fred Barton in tandem with Barton's radio news work at WIND, and a couple of other announcers who worked in the same building (Marina City) for WCFL; curiously, for years both WIND and WCFL held construction permits for TV stations, on Channels 56 and 38 respectively, that they never followed through on (38 eventually signed on as WCFC, the televangelist outfit in Chicago, in 1976; an image of a WCFL-TV ID slide, used for that station's first transmitter tests, still exists somewhere on the web)...
