Probably WCYI, a simulcast of WCYY on 94.3.
______________

Some real nice DX there!!

Very good conditions continued Tuesday, although I didn't get any 400 mile catches.

I woke up early Tuesday, turned on the radio, and found Family Radio WFSI-107.9 Annapolis, MD loud and clear over WEBE/WKRF/WRNB, at 6:02am, 241 miles. I've tried for WFSI a number of times this summer, finally snagged them.

WSNI-104.5 "Sunny" Philadelphia at 6:36am, heavy interference from LOCAL WSPK-104.7. (My rx has broad pass band). Heard clear Sunny mention while WSPK announcer was taking a breath!! 139 miles.

Also noted "The Beat" WPHI-100.3 in nicely around 6:30 from Media, PA for a call letter change. Was WPLY.

Another call letter change: WHFS-105.7 Catonsville, MD blasting in with Howard Stern. Last time I heard them they were WXYV.

A little later, a couple of nice surprises.

While stopped on 102.5 while turning the antenna, I caught "on the D-V-E morning show", going into "Who Are You" by the Who at 10:32am. It's WDVE-102.5, first Pittsburgh FM EVER, not just in current log since May 2003, but also first from any Poughkeepsie or Connecticut DX location! WDVE was surprisingly strong and clear at first, but gradually faded during the several minute song, and was gone just before the end of the song. Caught a bit of the next song ("The Rooster") and then they were gone for good. 332 miles.

Then I got "Hot 100" on 100.1 mixing with local WDST-100.1 which was kind of nulled. I heard several Hot 100 mentions, but not much else except the music. It looks like it must be WWOT-100.1 Altoona, Pa, logged in at 11:07am. PA #52, and only 2nd station logged on 100.1. Nice one for 3000 watts at 251 miles.

Yeah, probably WWOT. That's some pretty amazing trop! I know that from Philadelphia, the furthest West station I could ever get was 104.7/Hagerstown. Terrain makes it virtually impossible to get any further, as there are huge mountains west of Harrisburg. Trop naturally favors the coastal areas.

It's much easier to go the other way, and DX coastal stations inland.

Could have also been WMXR 93.9 (Woodstock VT?), simulcast of Clear Channel's Lebanon NH rock station (also on WVRR 101.7 Newport NH).
______________
