Long Island Radio - 2005 Thanks and 2006 Wishes

2005 Thanks for

- RadioX!!!!!!!!!!
- The return of Party 105
- Not being able to hear NeoBreeze on my radio (and its rapid demise)
- Being close to Connecticut and Country 92.5

2006 Radio Wishes

- The current WLIR west of...almost anywhere would be better
- Radio personality on TMO radio stations (and one full year of the same formats)
- Long Island Talk Radio (740 would be perfect)
- A local country station
- 94.3 take a chance...do SOMETHING
- A separate Radio-Info page for Jimi LaLumia (sorry Jimi, I had to do it and you know you love it!)

16 Long Islanders have given their lives for our country in recent years. Pray for their families and pray for peace.

Happy New Year everyone

Michael

Interesting post. In the interest of completely shameless self-promotion, if you are interested in locally originated, local news/talk I would suggest you give the WRIV 1390AM 'Dawn Patrol' a listen. We tend to ruffle a lot of feathers.

On to the other ideas:

1. Country won't play on Long Island because it is an extremely difficult sell. Barnstable Broadcasting is doing considerably better with lower ratings on WMJC with their current format than they did with country,

2. Now for your New Year's trivia question:

'Jack' is the current fad in radio and is based essentially on having
an ipod on 'shuffle'. What old radio format took the same approach ?

3. Answer: MOR. Middle of the Road.
