Wow, that's really cool to know about Rocky Jones and The Warehouse/Ferrari club. I always noticed the Randloph St. address on my DJ Int'l 12"s and was perfectly aware of the proximity from that address to the Warehouse - naturally, I wondered if and what the connection was. Now after all these years, I finally have an answer! (Guess I could have asked someone, huh? lol) Thanks for sharing that!
I only got to go into the Randolph St. Warehouse club once... thinking it was '90 or '91. I wish I could remember who was spinning that night, I keep thinking it was Julian Perez but I dunno... as you said, it was long and narrow... I distinctly remember it had a subway tunnel-like feel to it. Man, and the place was dark except for one single strobe, though you could make out the lights from the dj gear upstairs. But yeah I remember the sound was amazing... there was some sort of lounge upstairs and even up there it was pretty loud.
You said the original Warehouse was Fulton & Ogden... I don't know precisely where that's at, but it's gotta be close to where the China Club was at on Fulton. Geez what a mammoth place that was... amazing in its day.
