the marv said:Maybe a return of alternative rock then.
microbob said:How is the signal in the dowtown area? If they were to try AC they will need a signal on par with 106.9 in order to reach most of that audience which listen in office buildings. I guess they could try it or maybe country classics would work better on 105.1.
ANYBODY can do ANYTHING better than Cheap Channel.Bengalsfan said:And doing it better than Clear Channel ever thought about.radiofan502 said:WLUE (Louie 104.3) has been on the air since February.the marv said:A return of a variety hits format to take place of Louise who abandoned Louisville for Gen X.

BobOnTheJob said:The talk format they had was probably the best use of the frequency...most listening to that format takes place in cars...and that's where their marginal signal is adequate. I like to think someone smarter than I made this decision...not so sure this time.

Maybe it's time that we start turning off all these "marginal" frequencies; or at least letting them serve local communities rather than panhandle for what little bit of money is left in the metro areas.

I thought the same thing when I read about Mojo 100.3 changing to CBS Sports in January. If I'm not mistaken,105.1 used to be owned by Radio One who is flipping Mojo 100.3. Kind of ironic if it happens. And then they can turn the Stereo back off to help their signalWildcatGuy said:BobOnTheJob said:The talk format they had was probably the best use of the frequency...most listening to that format takes place in cars...and that's where their marginal signal is adequate. My guess is they'll go all sports with the new CBS Sports format.
An FM in Cincinnati just announced they're going All Christmas, and will come out as CBS Sports, when the network launches on January 2nd.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the same thing happen in Louisville.
