Loper & Randi sound like an out of market show

This morning I was scanning the local stations and stopped on 99.7 during Mark's sports update. He was talking about the Heat's loss to the 1-win Wizards. Loper said something like "I can't believe we lost to them". A few minutes later they were promoting a show "down in Columbus". Not doing such a good job sounding local.
 
Hey Chris, I'm stoked you landed on the show this AM and hung out with us for a bit. I read your post and thought I would get back to you. I went back to refresh my memory of the exact "break in question."
In regards to me referring to the heat as "we"...why not? I'm a fan. I know most folks when talking about their fav team say "we". Columbus does not have a pro NBA team and I've never been to Cleveland, so I wouldn't change up teams just because I live here in Columbus now. I support the Clippers, Buckeyes and the Crew though. We also have included those teams in our show hardcore.

About "Down in Columbus"...I actually said " downtown Columbus" in regards to the Joe Rogan show March 2nd at the Palace Theatre.

I would like you to support a great local event we have coming up on the 21st called "Operation B.S." boots and sock drive for our homeless here in Columbus.

Sounded like "down in Columbus" to me, but maybe I didn't have the radio loud enough in the car :-\ Knowing you are recently from Florida, the Heat thing stood out, but I shrugged it off. Having both things happen during my short listen just seemed odd to me. Odd enough to post here about it. Thanks for the response.
 
I like that you care enough about the market to voice your opinion. Columbus is a great place to live...I dig your passion. Feel free to call in and bust balls if you hear something like that. Take care.

Btw.... I'm assuming based on your User Name that you listen to that there Satellite radio?? I didn't realize anyone still subscribed!

Really enjoy having you and your team here in Columbus! Seem to have a good rapport with the local group, Shark and Kelly. Very entertaining and a fresh take for listeners! Ease up on helium theatre, I hear it may shorten your life or shrink your balls! Rock on, and expand dirty minds!
