Lou Brock, 81, Baseball Hall-of-Famer

The former St. Louis Cardinal outfielder and the best base-stealer of his time also broadcast for ABC on Monday Night Baseball, and spent a year with the Chicago White Sox broadcast team. He began his playing career with the Chicago Cubs, and was half of the infamous "Brock for Broglio" trade that sent pitcher Ernie Broglio to the Cubs.

No cause of death was given. RIP, Lou.

Lou Brock had been dealing with severe diabetic complications for some time, including having a leg amputated about 3 years ago. So that would be my assumption. But of course, many things can take a man in his 80s with little notice.
