iHeartMedia News/Talk 600 KOGO San Diego has announced that Lou Penrose will join the station as afternoon host as Carl DeMaio prepares to run for Congress.

Penrose served as Director of Programming and hosted mornings at KNWZ Palm Springs from 1994 through 2000 before moving into PR for politicians and then opening his own agency. DeMaio, a former San Diego city councilman, announced this morning his intent to run for the 50th district seat held by fellow Republican Duncan Hunter.

Now Demaio has announced that he is running for congress and his seat at Iheart has been taken over by Lou Penrose.
