Lou "The Panther Of Love" Walton from the Old 93Q Q-Zoo has passed away

Saw this posted on the Texas board:

This morning I received a very sad phone call. I am very sad to report to you that our great friend Lou "The Panther Of Love" Walton, The producer of The Q-Morning Zoo with John Lander passed away at 12:45 on Jan. 22, 2011. I am so happy that I was able to reconnect with Lou after all these years. I visited with him and together we shared some great laughs remembering the days of 93Q and the Q-Zoo. It was also nice to visit him recently with Jackie Robbins and that was also a nice visit because after many good laughs Lou was tired and he politely in Lou-Like fashion told Jackie and I to get out. LOL
Lou fought a hard battle with heart problems and diabetes among other things. Lou you will be missed ! RIP Panther Of Love !

Sorry to hear this. Lou was a very good man. He was a long time announcer on KYND with a very distinctive delivery that served to identify the station even when it was just heard in the background as of course it always was.

He and Archer (Dusablon) were the only KYND air staff to hold-over when it flipped to KKBQ.

Lou was a great guy who will be missed. Lou and I would sit and talk about "the old days" of KKBQ when John Lander was there. Lou was a fixture on the original Q Morning Zoo and had lots of great stories. Really sad to hear about his passing.
