Update Louisiana will have a statewide conference with the Governor on Monday due to COVID-19.


BATON ROUGE, La. —
Gov. John Bel Edwards wants to hear from residents as he updates Louisiana on the current response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The governor will lead a statewide broadcast Monday with health experts and members of his administration. It will air from 7-8 p.m. on television and radio stations, including right here on WDSU-TV in New Orleans.



"We know that the public has many questions about COVID-19, and we want to be responsive and responsible by giving them factual information as they make adjustments for new ways of living during this crisis," said Edwards.


Edwards is stressing the importance of social distancing and staying inside during the coronavirus outbreak. Bars and clubs are shut down, and restrictions are in place for restaurants across the state.
