Lowest rated station you've ever seen? (Not including rimshot/low power stations)

As someone already said, WEEI AM in Boston on 850

This was the old WHDH back in the day, now it is running God knows what ... it was ESPN radio but now it is some Audacity betting format BetQL

When WHDH's calls were sent into oblivion, the last sound heard was a toilet flush ( Thanks Jeff).... little did we know 25 years + later that was a damn good prediction of what was to be.

WBAI in NYC has been a perennial cellar dweller with usually less than 0.5. It’s a full class B signal in NYC. It’s beaten by out of market FMs that can’t even be heard in NYC. I remember it managed a 1 share during the height of the Occupy Wall Street protest.

Is WEEI-FM still sending play-by-play of other teams to 850 when it conflicts with Red Sox games? Come to think of it, does EEI-FM hold the rights to any other sports than Red Sox baseball?

I went back several years and the three month average was never above a 0.1.

What's the lowest rated station that has a full signal licensed to a city you've seen recorded? This includes demos which are particularly abysmal. This doesn't include npr/noncom/rimshot or lpfms

Virtually all of Salem's Christian teaching and talk stations are below a 1 share. Many of them are full Class C or B signals depending on their locations.

Salem, of course, doesn’t sell the numbers on those stations. Its main business is selling airtime to the preachers and Christian talk hosts. Any local or national ad buys it gets are just a few extra dollars it wasn't counting on. It also has a division that focuses more on salable formats, like political talk and Christian music programming (as well as a handful of secular stations, most of which are in Hawaii), but the bulk of its business is distribution of Christian teaching and talk programs.
