LSU-Alabama game (Nov. 5) switched from 3:30 to 8:00

Many schools are now at the point of the season where the game time will be released a week before the game is actually played - no doubt probably has something to do with ABC not wanting to show a clunker in primetime...

Too bad the NFL can't do the same thing. They could take the Indianapolis Colts off of Sunday and Monday Night Football. We all knew Payton Manning was a great Quarterback, but the Colts are horrible without him.

There should be a lot of national interest in this game; the teams
are ranked 1 (LSU) and 2 (Alabama) in both the AP and ESPN/USA
Today polls. Since both teams are in the SEC West, only one could
go to the SEC championship game; however, this could be a preview
of the BCS championship game. I think CBS made an incredibly smart
move.

It usually takes the networks a season or two to get off the bandwagon of teams playing well when they self destruct. Look for ESPN and NBC to show the Colts every chance they get. The way the Saints beat them like a red-headed stepchild last night, you think it would give them a clue.

I wish they'd consider the pairings weekly. We had two clunkers this weekend in Phoenix in addition to the Clunker Du Jour on Ennnn Beeee Seeee.

Actually, there is "flex scheduling" for the Sunday night games the last several weeks of the season. I'd say it's a foregone conclusion that Pats/Colts will be flexed out.
