According to The Hollywood Reporter, she played Cousin Georgia Anderson on the 1979 miniseries "Roots: The Next Generations" and had recurring roles as the snippy Emma Johnson on NBC’s "227" and on ABC’s "The Practice."

She appeared in several movies, including John Cassavetes’ "Shadows" in 1959, "Brother John" in 1971, "Buck and the Preacher" in 1972, "Lady Sings the Blues" in 1972, "Leadbelly" in 1976, and "Legal Eagles" in 1986.
