MAB Hall of Famer Mike Audet to retire

Longtime Maine radio news anchor/reporter/legend Mike Audet has decided that six decades of radio is enough and will hang up his headphones at year's end.

It all started at a little ###watt radio station in Waterville in 1954.

Mike - it's an honor to call you friend, colleague and co-worker. And I'll miss our daily chats about the kind of stuff you'll make up for the next newscast. I will, however, still call you for ideas when things are slow. (grin)

Had the privilege of working with Mike at WPOR. Bar none, one of the most professional, giving, and spontaneously funny people on the planet. Enjoy the life of leisure, Mike.

I also had the privilege of working with Mike during my time at WPOR.

Congratulations, and enjoy some well-deserved free time! :)
