Magic 105.3 Now Playing Christmas Music and 80's Music Again.

Well it's that time of year when radio stations start playing Christmas music. Starting today Magic 105.3 is now playing some Christmas tunes, and on another note 80's music has made it's way back to the playlist. Not sure what made 105.3 go back to playing 80's music, when the same songs can be heard on its sister station KONO 101 now.

Damn really!? Typical San Antonio .Can't ever get enough of the 80's/older jams. Just like kiss. 1067 plays all classic rock, and kiss also plays classic rock as well .Did Kono and Magic take a page from kiss/the eagle?? Are they maybe doing this because Cox suspects a competitor will flip to an all 80's format or something?? Wonder why the change? Might as well bring back the "awesome 80's weekend" while they're at it...

Now we have songs like Don't Stop Believing, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, and Summer of 69 playing on three Cox radio stations. I don't understand the sudden change to bring back 80's music especially going as far as back as 1981, did Magic's target demographic suddenly take in an interest in 80's music?

Also just a few weeks ago KONO-FM updated its playlist to include more 80's music primarily between 1983-1986 seems to be the years they are focusing on. With a bit of early and late 80's tossed in here and there.

It's so odd hearing Pitbull one minute and then hearing Naked Eyes Always Something There to Remind me right after.

I Would Love 2 Hear The Great 80'S Tunes Again But There Signal Is Being Covered Up By A Translator Ever Since 2013 Wish It Would Shut Off So I Could Listen 2 KSMG 105.3 I Knew That Station Since 1994 Or Was It 1995!!

Magic...you know this "80's, 90's, and Today" thing that worked in 2005 does NOT work in 2015. It definitely won't work in 2025 either.

Typical of Cox SA stations to think they're a decade behind. Still wondering why 99.5 Kiss is still in 2002 thinking "Get Away" by Earshot (you know, that Tool ripoff band people complained back then) is brand new. Horrible song then, and still horrible today.

I'll take Energy 96.9 and 103.3 the App's playlist any day.

Or look up "The Cool Station" in the TuneIn app.

Not too bad. Heard a nice blend of dance and alternative. Wouldn't mind some hard rock in there to mix it up.

103.3 is the bomb!! Waay better than 99.5 any day.

I can't stand listening to "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" and "Down With the Sickness" these days. Don't get me wrong. They are kick a** songs but not something I would listen to over and over every hour.

Thanks man! Yeah I've added some more hard rock songs. I'll start adding in Christmas music too, now it's December 1st. Later on this month I plan to go all Christmas.
