Well apparently Clear Channel has an AC in Anchorage, AK that's called Magic 98.9. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? A station with the FM frequency 98 point 9.
Which makes you think, hey ... they should play 98 minutes of music every weekday morning at 9. They could say "we call it our 98 at 9". And they almost do! But they're missing a few key ingredients. See a recent Facebook post from Magic 98.9:
"Magic 98.9 fm Anchorage Alaska Every weekday morning at around 8:30, Mark & April kick off another Magic Music Marathon. 98 MINUTES OF COMMERCIAL FREE MUSIC will ease you into your workday, right after Inside Hollywood, on Magic 98.9!

Why they don't call it the 98 at 9? Heck they don't even air it at 9, they start at 8:30am. What are they thinking?! They got the 98 minutes of music! They even have something B98.5 doesn't have, they're not Magic 98.5, they're Magic 98.9! 98.9 as in 98 and 9, 98 @ 9! How can they not know!? Not know the incredible marketing/positioning/office listening gift that lays right at their feet? I don't know if I can go to Alaska, but surly Kate McCarthy has some downtime that she can be dispatched and tell Mark & April, the Magic 98.9 morning team! Explain to them that here in Atlanta, B98.5 FM's 98 at 9 is truly Atlanta's longest music sweep. Doesn't Alaska deserve the same? You betcha!
