Maine Senator Asks Streaming Services to Make Content Free During Holidays to Encourage COVID-19 Safety
U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) is asking for the help of streamers when it comes to slowing the spread of COVID-19 this holiday season.
King urges streaming services to make content available for free to encourage safe decisions during holidays
Sen. King requests that the streamers open up their content to non-subscribers as a public service, aiming to boost national spirits and protect public health.
I doubt thats gonna happen for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, Hulu and HBO Max to comply with that request because of business model reasons. But Youtube, Vimeo, Twitch, Dailymotion, LBRY.TV, Pluto, Tubi and PBS app can do what the senator is suggesting.
