Major WMMR announcement tomorrow around 10-10:30... It has to do with P&S!

i was at the schuylkill mall in frackville tonight in the parkinglot listening to WMMR, and i heard something about P&S leaving WMMR. i hope it aint true. im not a huge P&S fan but they entertain me on my way to school in Bethlehem every morning. also there was something about Pierre... (i dnt know what it was, i lost focus when i heard about P&S and stopped paying attrention long enough to miss what was said about pierre.
 
Honest guess- Typical big station event, concert, etc.

Wild guess- Pierre to MGK, perhaps P&S to a different timeslot.

Can't be. Didn't they just sign a huge contract? Besides, even if a host was planning to leave a station, it's possible that host might not get an opportunity to say goodbye, no matter how good he/she is (see: Booker).

I admit, as soon as I saw the words "major announcement" in the thread title, I thought our resident flunkie beer vendor was back.

I can't believe you missed that... Chris and Thomas were in studio with them and everything.. it was classic..

Was it "green" as in a money giveaway? (I guess the old "WMMR is dead... dead serious about giving away cash!" routine isn't going to fool anybody anymore...)

They are doing some recycle thing or something... and then next week there will be a "green" song of the day (ie: money by pink floyd) and when you hear that, you have a chance to win money, a thousand bucks I believe...

I NEVER listen to MMR, but I saw on here, MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT, so I thought I'd give it a listen...

OH well... back to the few Kidd chris podcasts I have left on my PC

Seriously?? I only used to listen to the radio for stern in the AM, O&A for the drive home back several years ago, then Kidd Chris when he got here in '05, and now, no real reason... If i want to listen to music, I have plenty of cd's and an Ipod and a laptop full of songs... If I do listen to the radio now, it's WRFF
 
wrff is good. i find myself listening to G Rpck the most when im back home in lower bucks
 
This station is a prime example of how 'crappy' and forced you can be when you have no competition. ::) I miss my kidd :'(

I was kinda hoping someone would of said kathy was impailed and only lost her ability to speak.... Now thats something to talk about.
