Malloy says he'll "rethink talk radio" if AAR doesn't place him on WWRL

...on Tuesday night's show, Mike Malloy told a caller that Air America Radio hasn't given him a straight answer about his being placed on WWRL when the network moves their New York radio address next month. He also said, to a caller asking if he's getting back on in the New York market, if he doesn't get placed on WWRL he "will rethink talk radio" -- assuming that's a euphamism for quitting AAR -- as a result...

He's listed on the WWRL web site, along with Franken, Rhodes, and Seder.

...I was just there. He's nowhere to be found on that site, nor are the other people you mention...

They were there for a couple of days. Now there's just a generic welcome for Air America. See the "Another fine mess" thread for more (including speculation that WWRL may be locked into a contract to carry Alan Colmes, much as XM was locked into one to carry Colmes until it expired and they switched to Malloy on the XM Air America channel).

Good for Malloy. He's gotten terrible treatment from AAR and anybody with the least self-respect would walk under the circumstances.

AAR drools all over Franken and Garafolo. One has already decided she has better things to do and the other keeps talking about it. Meanwhile, the two bona-fide radio people in the line-up get short shrift. AAR claims to be liberals - the good guys - and they treat people like cr*p.

Mike, here's the number for Jones Radio. 800.525.7002. Have your agent give them a call. Randi, you too.

"AAR claims to be liberals - the good guys"

Saying that liberals are the good guys is a political statement. We've all been reminded that politics has no place in this forum.

Well, Malloy just announced that he will be on WWRL on September 1, plus he now has a 2-year contract extension.

Good for him.

Hope he enjoys that 5,000 watt night signal.

What's that saying I posted on another, unrelated topic again? Something about winning the battle, but losing the war?
