Manager runs off promotions director in favor of sucky DJ

Today is a sad day. One of, if not the best promotions man in town is calling it quits after his bleeding heart GM ran him off. The same GM that forced a format flip on a rock station that was finally breaking out, just to make his pastor happy. What a joke this guy is.

Lot of Pi$$ed off people at 71st & Yale today. This sucks. Radio is starting to suck in general in Tulsa. Maybe I suck.

Maybe Lori needs to come beat us all down with her self-defence billy club.

If you're working at a station that is getting a little too difficult to work for, leave. It is that simple. There is still a lot of good, solid radio around, but you may have to move to another, even smaller, market to do what you want to do.

Nobody ran anybody off. The guy has a chance to make a lot more money working for his family business in OKC. Just ask him!

When we heard that he was leaving, we contacted him about working here. He worked for our GSM years back at KRAV. He said that it has nothing to do with the station. It is all about working for his dad. (and $$$)

In is not always a conspiracy or big bad corporate radio. People are allowed to make choices and he did.

Yes, he is a good promotions guy and Cox will have to come up with a plan. Before you post stuff, check your sources. Ask a few people and get the story straight. Didn't anybody study journalism?
