Maricopa County Attorney's Office spent 11K to promote Aunt Carlos' book?

Ankarlo is trying to defend himself (and doing a terrible job) right now, claiming ignorance (not hard)

Barry is poking fun at Ankarlo's book noting that it went from the mid 19,000's on the best seller chart to over 20,000.

Funny stuff, except that its OUR money.

(Andy Thomas is on Ankarlo now, its a love fest between the two...nauseating)
 
Great buzz for KT'R...there's more traction to this story than when ASU banned Aunt Carlos & 92~Three from their buses! Wonder how many days it'll take the delayed Glenn Beck Wreck to mention it? And even though he's doin' the show from el Lay, Nurse Jeff and I bet Joe Crummey will run with it this afternoon.
 
What kills me is how Aunt Carlos can rail against government spending, yet he has no problems with free money to shill his vanity book?

The audacity of all involved. That money is to fight crime, I got plenty in my neighborhood, 11,000 would pay to paint lots of tagged walls, and throw some gang bangers in jail.

But, instead, the money is being spent on a complete joke of a book, written by a moron who acts as if crossing the border is akin to entering Afghanistan unarmed.

Dumb Darryl has got to go. Bring in Joe Crummey!

BTW, Russ Hill, where are you? Your last blog entry was in January! ???
 
Sounds like Aunt Carlos got the smackdown from his boss.

He is on the air, much more deflated today than yesterday.

Is he really that stupid to think that accepting money from the CA's office was a good thing?

He has actually allowed dissenting views on his show today, amazing.

According to New Times, the newsroom was pissed off at him for this, and, Suprise! Russ Hill didn't return calls (maybe he was updating his blog? ::))
 
Advantage KT'R. Sure it was bone-headed of the County Attorney to underwrite Aunt Carlos' book tour. It was even more bone-headed of TMISU that this deal slipped through the cracks. But the buzz is with 92~Three. KFWhyEye can't beat 'em up too much as Andy Thomas is right up there with Sheriff Joe on their adoration list. Nurse Jeff and I suggest the Master Blogger present a giant $11,000 refund check to the Attorney's office and get more press for KT'R!

A complete waste of taxpayer's money and a total conflict of interest. Andrew Thomas has taken a page from Arpaio's guide to self promotion and media pandering.

"Another Man's Sombrero"? The TV coverage showed Aunt Carlos, with his granny glasses, and short cropped grey locks, more befitting of a raspberry beret, tilted ever so slightly.



Was Gaydos's donkey trip down Central Ave. was underwritten by Valley Metro?

Why is Ankarlo copping criticism? Granted, he's full of hot air, but that's nothing new to anyone that's given a critical ear to his program content…

Andrew Thomas, now there's where the outrage should be directed, but Republican "culture of corruption" deeds are not exactly "news" items anymore, just regular occurrences…
