Don't just about all markets have this? There was a great spoof of MadTV last night. It was supposed to be a North Dakota morning show, but they had this New Yorkish backdrop. And it fell down during the show.
 
In Green Bay on WFRV-TV, which bills itself as the "Official Packers Station," the news desk backdrop - not sports, news - is the entrance to Lambeau Field.

WSB's has been around since the early 80's. When they moved into their new studio in 1998, they built one there too. It is getting old.The other 3 Atlanta news outlets (WAGA, WXIA, and WGCL) have had one at one point or another. WAGA had one in the late 90's after the Fox takeover. WXIA had one in the 80's, and WGCL had theres from 1999 (as WGNX) until they moved into their new studio in 2001. Today, small portions of the sets on WAGA and WGCL have a city drop, but not the main anchor seats.
 
KNBC, KTLA and KABC used live background shots of downtown Los Angeles in their newscasts. All of the rest pretty much used a generic downtown L.A. backdrop.
 
WCAU-TV NBC 10 also uses the city as a backdrop sometimes. They have a huge TV monitor behind the anchors which can display different things on the screen behind them which they can show the skyline of the city or other things

WNYW sports the NYC skyline as well. WCBS actually shows a live shot in the morning, WNBC always uses a pre-recorded video loop, and all the rest are still.

It was reported in the Daily News that WCBS uses a video loop for their backdrop.
