While he's yet to break through to Pop radio in the States, Martin Solveig can boast a Top 10 hit on Canadian Top 40 radio where he's up to number eight. What's more, he's about to break into the Top 20 on the Canadian sales chart.
In the UK he's at 13, up to 14 in Australia, and Top 20 in New Zealand.

Alongside David Guetta and Bob Sinclar, mr. Martin Solveig has slowly but surely become one of the biggest producers to come out of the French House scene. There's other names that can't be overlooked such as Antoine Clamaran, David Vandetta, Laurent Wolf, and of course Daft Punk.

According to Billboard, "Hello" is number one on its Hot Dance Airplay chart (in the February 12, 2011 issue), so its a start. Let's hope that Big Beat/Atlantic push this one beyond WBBM, WPTY, KNHC, BPM, and KVBE.

Ahhh, This explains a lot! I'm loving this song, and even more so now that I have a clear idea of what it actually is. I've been wondering what song this was I've been hearing for weeks on a t.v. commercial. Commercials normally tend to make songs sound better and more catchy, but this song is actually already good as it is by itself (although I'm sure that if it blows up, it would help even more if people recognize it from the commercial and had time to wonder about it before hand).

I've been listening to Toronto's Virgin Radio 99.9 for a good portion of the day - I've heard this great song several times already!

It's about time this song started picking up. Just happened to check again, and compared to the last time I checked about two or three weeks ago, a big difference in overall amount of mainstream plays. Can it be the next "bulletproof"? Well...

KTFM finally adds to rotation. Before it was just in their mixshows.

I'm waiting on 92.3 Now to jump on it. That's the only station in NYC that would get on it. Oh, and 'KTU AFTER other stations do it.

I figured there'd be a sudden increase of replies to this in April. Well, by the looks of things, KZZP may eventually start using it in regular rotation. Not sure about KZON because I haven't heard it more than once in the mix on that station, and unlike KZZP, KZON mixes at least twice every day of the week (not including Sunday).

To be honest,this song is as tragic as "We Don't Speak Americano".

I can't see comparing it to "we no speak Americano". I think "hello" has much more mainstream & top 40 appeal, and also has certain elements and qualities "built in" to the musical production that would appeal to young kids as well as adults, especially the females and younger females who are in dance classes who use songs like that to dance to. I can also see ladies loving the theme of the lyrics in this song. I'm not exactly sure what made "We no speak Americano" become 'popular', though...

I wouldn't be surprised if "hello" is somewhat as catchy today as "I'll fly with you" by Gigi D'Agostino was back in 2001.
