I suppose that's where the WMTI calls would come in. And it makes sense, too... A 50kw rimshot from Mississippi is far from "Mighty."

An interesting route nonetheless... is it next-gen standards like the old Red @ 104.1 (St Louis, http://www.red1041.com)/Star 97.5 (Phoenix, http://www.star975fm.com/) with newer stuff mixed in to appeal to a younger audience, or is it a more traditional standards sound?

Two time losers

Does this mean "The Twins" have actually been fired by Citadel twice? When Citadel bought 92.3 and now again with 106.1? Oooooh, that's actually a quad if you count them each twice.

If I remember they were let go actually by the Family who was LMAing 106.1 at the time. If I remember they put a ad in the paper over it.

If I remember, Citadel was over the 90 days to consumate and I didn't see anything on the FCC site as it still lists Guaranty..So does it mean Citadel is LMAing?

And this now means the northshore has 2 smooth jazz style stations? (104.7 and 106.1)

no 2 diffrent formats..106.1 is more of a traditional standards format with frank sinatra, norah jones, harry conick jr..etc..smooth jazz is a totally diffrent format..and the dowdys fired the twins..not citadel..well at least the second time anyway...
______________

I go out of town for a couple of days, and they finally do something!

Definitely sounds like a Red clone (and not the Red in BR, either).

Again, John McQueen comes up with another weird idea. However, if this one works, it'll be a hit like Diva. And yes, according to some N.O. numbers I saw once, Diva scores well among the women with $$$.

Of course, I'm surprised they don't put much priority into getting the End back. I guess that means new rock could be headed to the slaughterhouse.
______________

I was thinking the same thing about WDVW. And as long as they're raking in the dough Citadel will leave Diva 92.3 alone.

As for Martini, well, New Orleans is a town steeped in Jazz, Swing and Pop Standards, so this one will attract a very good demo.

It will attract the 54+ demographic or the same demographic that WWL-AM attracts
______________

On the "end", It just could be they don't want to try the headache induceing changes for two months like the flip of Bayou to 95.7 from 105.3. Or we could see a slight shift hopefully as I know the End needs some slight freshning (considering they have been on roughly 8? years already)

Weird choice for New Orleans (figured the FM talk would have made it to 106.1 instead) but then McQueen seems to like to experiment and luckily he has a company willing to afford him that luxury.
I'm just wondering with smooth jazz sinking a few times in the birthplace of jazz, if this will be a hit or a miss.

I figured his P1s were the 30 something women, but I've noticed the playlist has been changing when I turn thru 92.3 lately however.... Trouble in paradise or just trying something new?

Tymer, the sale went thru or is this a LMA for the time being?
Also any news on KLRZ? That sale should have happened but haven't heard anything new on both as I know "truck" is still playing his swamp pop as of Thursday.

Re: Two time losers

A positive thought in this negative wasteland.
I love the new Martini!
Actually earned a "button" in my car in it's first week. I worry if it can "monitize," but I sure hope so.
