Mary Hart to leave Entertainment Tonight after upcoming season

That would make Alex Trebek, Vanna White and Pat Sajak - should they all stick around until their shows' contracts are up in 2014 - the longest-tenured personalities in the prime access hour.

I often wonder if Alex Trebek will step down as host of "Jeopardy!" when his contract expires?, by then he will be
74, and the current version turns 30 in 2014, i guess it will be his call, but i'm sure as long as his health is good,
we will see him for many years to come.

She didn't break up with her husband did she?
Isn't he some bigwig at ET's production/distribution company?
I can't remember the guy's name, but I heard about her being lumped with Julie Chen, Chelsea Handler [now -ex] and a couple of other celebrities in that manner.

I would have remembered more details, but her voice grates on me like it did on Kramer. Then if I scan by when the credits scroll by, I can't sleep that night.

Chelsea Handler, last I heard, dated Brian Roberts, the CEO of Comcast (which conveniently owns a majority of the E! network that she appears on). Not sure if they are still together.

Mary Hart will turn 60 next year. And while she is an attractive and youthful looking 60, she made the right decision.

There is a saying in my line of work: "It's always best to know when it's time to leave, rather than be told to leave by management."

Mary Hart leaving ET next year will follow Nancy O'Dell's abrupt departure from "Access Hollywood" last year, given that they have been their respective shows' senior faces for years and years. Now the two can finally spend some time together!

But hey, when you've been with a show longer than anyone else in the business and have been on the red carpets of the world's biggest entertainment events like the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars, you know your stature will be cemented for all times. And Mary Hart has been that industry's Walter Cronkite; she will be missed, but it's time for the new generation to take over.

I heard her say on her show that they had broken up, but you know how show biz people like to make truths up and stuff. :)

Wow,I have to say that stinks,Mary is Entertainment Tonight.Like Johnny Carson of the Tonight Show.I think i still have the tape when she was introduced on the show. Also I did not know she will be turning 60,She still looks young .Yes like said earlier,Probably a management decision to retire her.but lets see if the show rating will go out the window after Mary's gone and also who will fill her shoes.

You need to seriously check your "hearing" then. You've got the entirely wrong person, as a basic search would tell you.
