Mary Louise Kelly to host All Things Considered on NPR News

Also of note, Kelly McEvers, a long time international correspondent, will step down from her role as one of four anchors on ATC. At just over two years, she must have the shortest tenure of any anchor on the weekday ATC.

Mary Louise Kelly has anchored either Morning Edition or All Things Considered as a fill in pretty much continuously since this summer. She is very good. It was obvious they were giving her a long try out as an anchor.

Whether they will replace McEvers remains to be seen. Four voices to fill two daily slots seems like a lot of staff for ATC. Note that Ray Suarez, best known for his long stint on the PBS Newshour is filling in on ATC over the holidays. Wouldn't mind him picking up at senior correspondent / guest host role at NPR.
