Masur Named Chicago White Sox Radio Play-By-Play Voice

https://news.****************/articles/n39024/Masur-Named-Chicago-White-Sox-Radio-Play-By-Play-Voice

The Chicago White Sox and News/Talk WGN-AM/Chicago name Andy Masur as the MLB team's radio play-by-play voice for the 2020 season. He replaces Ed Farmer who died on April 1 at age 70 after battling kidney disease. Masur joins analyst Darrin Jackson on WGN and the White Sox Radio Network. He served as the pre-game host for the White Sox in 2018 and 2019. Masur was a pre-game and post-game host for Chicago Cubs baseball on WGN from 1999 to 2007. He called San Diego Padres games for seven seasons (2007-13) before returning to WGN in 2014.

I'm less sure if the MLB is even going to have a season given that some states have issued shutdown orders again due to a rise in COVID-19 cases in their areas.

We will find out soon.

True enough, but whenever they start back up, Masur was the correct call, having done the job when Farmer was sick the last couple of years and having worked on the Cubs' network and in SD with the Padres. while the circumstances stink, he deserves this gig.
