My friend Ronnie lives in San Francisco but went to high school with me in Nashville. This weekend we had our 10 year high school reunion, and we hung out and I introduced him to 96.3 JACK-FM. He liked it, and so I told him about 95.7 in San Francisco having a Variety Hits format, too. He said he'd check it out. I then got this in an e-mail a few minutes ago from Ronnie:
we've been listening to 95.7 for the past two days, my office loves the station, apparently it's relatively new to the Bay Area, i did notice that it's called MAX FM, instead of JACK FM. one of their slogans is "Playing the songs you forgot you actually know" and "Playing whatever we feel like playing, but never the same song in a day."
I had explained to Ronnie the very abbreviated story of how KZBR was different, but I guess he forgot. I don't know if Max FM has done much in the name of promotion, but I'd suggest that if more people knew about it, you might have more offices with similar reactions.<P ID="signature">______________
