I don't need credibility because I'm not dishing out "insider info".
Not just sales people, I'll leave it at that.

If it's not sales, then it's street team and interns. I'd almost rather believe the sales people. Nobody on the WNCX programming side would ever talk. EVER. Basically because most are clueless to what is even going on outside of their 4 hour shift.

REALLY? :
Both of those statements are ludicrous to the nth degree. They could go jukebox, but bringing back Scott and Jeff? Totally out of the question.
You lost me with "CBS will go HARD after Rover" line. Where would he go? Like hell it would be on 92.3 - an outright downgrade from WMMS' superior signal. And CBS really wants to spend money in a market they want to leave? Please.
If anything, CC will automatically renew when his contract is up. The deal with WMMS was tailor-made to fit Rover - along with his sidekicks - and make him the de facto star of the station; that's why Maxwell gradually soured on CC in the first place.

you don't think "King Rover" couldn't have a taylor made contract done with CBS after destroying them for 3 years at WMMS? Hell I'd almost be wiling to be if it were a breaking point he could get them to switch the 98.5/92.3 formats
becker5 said:all you guys need to give up on this "If Maxwell was on in the afternoons" non-sense because it's not happening. Clear Channel was their hands with them because they realized Maxwell was a one-trick pony. Max only got good ratings because Rover came over over to WMMS. Max before Rover rarely did well. The Maxwell Show is over!

Bullcrap.
Before Rover came to WMMS, Maxwell was the only person keeping that station afloat. He was the star player, and you know it - heck, even Bo told the Plain Dealer as such back in 2007! Look it up.
And Max pulled off good ratings for WMMS with no extensive promotional campaign whatsoever. Sure, "MWL" WMMS ads appeared in Scene or in other places, but nowhere close to the publicity blitzkrieg Rover had/has. No billboards, no TV spots, no stories du jour on 19 Action News, no scripted stunts.

I personally don't have anything against Maxwell but I think his show is horrible. Maxwell's ratings were ok but when Rover came over, that's when he got his ONE- number 1 book. Maxwell has been living off that one book since it happened where Rover & Triv consistantly has number one books.
becker5 said:Don't blame advertising on Maxwell's failure. I see his billboards on buses and his ads in Scene magazine. As for press, no one wants to cover a failing show. That doesn't make for a good news story.

Could you please provide samples of the ratings success you've had either as a show host or a program director?
Thanks in Advance,
