McIntyre surfaces on K F I after just a few weeks off K A B C

Just prior to 6p, Sun 10/4 ... "McIntyre in for Tim Conway Jr. KFI AM 640, more simulated talk radio" Opps, Stimulating!

He's described on the WABC website as a "guest host". Sounds like Citadel isn't paying him under his old contract and has simply hired him for some shift work on their New York station. Since KABC is no longer using him in a similar capacity, a fill-in shift on KFI doesn't compete with any work he's doing in this market. I suppose that if he manages to get Red-Eye Radio going again and KABC picks it up, that would put the kibosh on future KFI fill-in gigs.

Doug in my opinion is one of the smartest minds in radio and I would love to see him on KFI. I've had enough of low IQ nitwits like Bryan Suits or Tim Conway who really play loose and fast with facts. Conway particularly is really horrible with that - he basically invents a lot of things that simply are not true. It is now amply clearly that Doug Steckler and Brian Whitman were the brains of those partnerships.

Doug McIntyre would be a gem for KFI to add.
