ME-TV (Memorable Entertainment TV) Overnight Show Start Times Change

Has anyone noticed that ME-TV is seemingly doing the old WTBS/Atlanta thing and starting their shows at five minutes after the top or bottom of the hour? Are they trying to accomodate viewers who can't find anything else to watch at the hour and then turn to ME-TV to watch their show at the beginning????

Looking at my local MeTV listings from KDOC in the Pacific time zone. They are doing the same thing. It runs for about 4 hours.

11:30 PM Perry Mason
12:35 AM Twilight Zone
1:05 AM Alfred Hitchcock Presents
1:35 AM Alfred Hitchcock Presents
2:05 AM Mannix
3:05 AM Cannon
4:05 AM Barnaby Jones
5:00 AM Highway Patrol

KCCI 8 does the same thing. I read something that some me tv networks carry News at 9 or 10 depending where your at for 35 minutes and that's why the shows start 5 minutes later.

It's listed the same way on their online schedule, and it's on Monday through Friday, but not on weekends.

Just guessing but they may be doing this to line up with CBS, NBC, and ABC starting their late night talk shows 5 minutes later. But it looks like they would start it at 11:35 with Perry Mason, and I don't know why it's necessary to run it as late as 4:05 with Barnaby Jones.

They don't seem to be doing that in Atlanta. BUT, Me-TV here is starting an hour long Georgia News at 9 pm on July 18. I'll be missing Gomer and Green Acres.
