Megamix 96 on live 365.. The Dance Hits, POP MIX and Freestyle station

I think I have found a Niche I am going to stick with. I have turned my live 365 into a full fledged mainstream Dance station, that except for the lack of imaging is every bit as good as any other dance hits station. I have 350 titles rotated of current and gold from the past 5 years, as well as a touch of 90s and a good dose of Freestyle as well.. Lots of POP Dance Mixes, some electro pop and hip hop, and classics., Check this out now that im serious about this and let me know how I am doing. and how i can get the word out and maybe get serviced by the labels,, its perfectly Legit so i dont see any reason why I couldnt get serviced by the label's. I plan to add more mixshows, but my current late weekend deep house show THE LOUNGE with AMBASSADOR will continue, but im looking for even more volunteer DJS... Of course the station will continue to be add free. I have the bitrate set at 56k 44..MONO,, It has the best SQ for regular listeners, as the stereo seems to introduce crackling on non VIP listeners, so in other words, the stream is still add free, and sounds pretty darned good.. If you would like to get involved in Mixshows.. maybe get an APD,, Let me know.

The key to being serviced by the labels is to be around for awhile, be interactive with the labels and be consistant.

Now that you've found your niche, stick to it. Build your audience. Send out your playlist to the labels so that they can see what you are doing.

Servicing won't come quickly but don't let that discourage you.

Great format and plan.

Now, question is: What exactly are we going to name / label this station if it's new school material?
"The Dance Hits, POP MIX and Freestyle station" is too long, and "KISS FM" & "AMP" are already taken ;D

By the way, I think I have some mixes as well!

Hit me KDM but the format is now 24/7 mixtapes of comercial dance, Its not a live 365 station anymore, I got sick of getting delisted. I tried to be legal, but paying royalties wasnt enough, so I returned to my underground status. You can check me out doing my thing on shoutcast, look up Megamix 96.

Ok.. and I should also let you know that I've gone more electronic style than what I was doing on Stevie B's station. In other words, more house and freestyle, although much / some of it is mainstream dance radio material rather than underground. No more of that entire straight up urban contemporary r&b set stuff at 120 bpm (Unless of course it is a few heavily electro / dance influenced tracks sprinkled in here and there). It's mainly up to date, 2009 - 2010 music. I guess you could check and see the first two pages of my mixes / track listings in the music section at CLUB KDM and see + hear an example of what I've been doing lately (mainly with the DPR Hitmixes) www.7000express.multiply.com/music

My style will probably fit, if anything, more of a rhythmic dance format than a strictly chr dance format, but is surely more on the dance side of things. There is some modern bass and freestyle along with the house tracks.

Its ok Tony :p 8) 8) 8) I got plenty of resident DJs at megamix and truthfully im finding hard to fit them in. I would like to have KDM and DJ perry Mix for megamix though. MY url constantly refreshes. Im using a free shoutcast server from cz, And they renrew the ports, but they automatically list me in several directories, not just shoutcast. When I was on live 365 i couldnt ever get over 2 listeners at one time.
