Memories of WCAU-AM in the 1950s-1960s

I recall a station similar to WCBS New York-lots of CBS radio network fare, good personalities, and MOR music. What do you folks recall about WCAU-AM from those years?

I remember John Facenda doing afternoon news, and Bob Menefee's show (this was after he left WIP in 1960).

BTW, Does anyone remember the episode of Gilligan's Island, when the radio picked up WCAU and Facenda?

YES! I thought I was the only one and had lost it! What was that? A local insert? Did it appear on the full CBS TV network? Is it still there in syndication?
