Memories of WNOW 1250 AM in York, PA

Born in 1949- As a kid growing up in York, I listened to WNOW 1250 and WSBA 910. Both Top 40 stations in the late 50's and early 60's. A big time trivia buff. I remember WNOW having listener call-in contests like "Name It and Claim It" and "Newsy Q" I won hit records like Tossin' and Turnin (Bobby Lewis) and Waterloo (Stonewall Jackson----- I wasn't real choosy.) Wish I kept those large sized Top 40 hit lists with the deejay pics bordering . Anyone have more memories and feedback?

i was not a fan when WNOW-AM when country, but back in the 80's they changed to WOBG-AM. loved how before each song, an automated announcement announced the song title and performer. Dave Bupp from the Mag Men, who i believe hosted Open Mike on WNOW, was there for hours that first day. a little before my time, but i heard there was also a TV station associated: WNOW-TV. i have been to the building once. hard to see how you could fit an AM, FM (Q-106), and a TV station in that one building. love oldies, and really enjoy WPDC-AM 1600 out of Elizabethtown.
