Merv Griffin dead of prostate cancer at 82

He seemed like a decent fellow. Anyone ever work for Griffin who can give the rest of us an idea if the nice guy personna was for real, or just an act?

Anyways my condolences to his family and friends.

First it was Johnny Carson, then Mike Douglas, Tom Synder and now Merv. The old-timers of TV talk are all gone now. The only person still alive is Dick Cavett.

David Frost is still alive. Also, don't forget
that Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Dinah Shore,
and Virginia Graham are no longer with us
either.

How much time does Regis Philbin have left? Seriously, besides his talk show, game shows and casino interests, he also owned several radio stations, one of which was 104.1 FM in the Hartford market.

R.I.P. Merv, or as Rick Moranis once implied: "Oooooooooooooohhhhh!"
